Brechfa Village Website and Blog
Unfortunately it will soon no longer be possible for me to maintain the Brechfa Website or the Brechfa Blog. I have enjoyed researching information and developing both since moving to Brechfa and sincerely thank those who have contributed.
Regular visitor will have noted the removal of contact information and the Guest/Visitors book. As I will not be able to respond to any questions or edit inappropriate guest book comments I thought removal would be the best option.
I have reserved the brechfa.info domain name for 10 years and moved the website to a free hosting company, which will hopefully continue to make the Brechfa Village website available on the web, my legacy to Brechfa.....

Brechfa Post Office
The Post Office Ltd. is planning to close the Brechfa Post Office branch and to mitigate the impact of the proposed closure by establishing an Outreach Service in the area. It is proposed to put in place a Mobile Service for approximately 5 hours each week.
All in Brechfa and outlying areas oppose the closure.

Brechfa Church
Received the following communication from Hywel Griffiths:-
"If the villagers have been wondering who has been hacking down Holly bushes in the church yard its been descendants of Richard and Maria Morris and family, owners of the Forest Arms and farm from around 1840 to 1895.
The Morris family plot was over run with a tree and Holly Bushes. Family members who visited Brechfa couldn't find the graves.
But on a flying visit one cold wet morning in March this year I found them and am know sending the Morris line descendants on a Pilgrimage to Brechfa to visit and clean up the plot".
